As part of PwC’s NextLevel startup initiative, he coordinates activities in northern Germany and is part of the programme management team for PwC’s annual Scale North programme.
Following his diverse personal interests, Jannis Grube completed an apprenticeship in the maritime shipping sector on board a cargo ship after graduating from high school while studying Business Management by distance learning. Enriched by a wealth of experience as well as social and intercultural competence, he then turned his back on technical and nautical matters and pursued his various business interests. Jannis prefers to leave the familiar waters and work on innovative business models.
His job at PwC Germany offers him the opportunity to work with private and family businesses on a global scale, allowing him to learn from experienced leaders. Supporting family businesses from an owner perspective and setting long-lasting relationships inspires Jannis. He supports startups in building up and growing their businesses in Germany, and strives for establishing a link between corporates and startups to create an added value for all. The innovative perspective of startups can have a major positive impact on the ecosystem of family businesses, and transferring the global perspective to Northern Germany also creates added values, e.g. learning from global best practice.
