As part of the team for Global Overseas Acceleration & Learning (GOAL) at Plug and Play Tech Center, Leila Maria Kehl establishes partnerships with governments worldwide and manages the “International Accelerator”, a program which supports international entrepreneurs to develop their business, to access a foreign market, as well as to improve corporate and investment readiness.In addition, with the FoundHER initiative, it is her special mission to inspire, empower and connect female entrepreneurs through events, education, and networking. Originally, she started her career in the retail industry with a cooperative program at REWE Group which she completed with a bachelor’s degree in retail management and a professional degree in wholesale and foreign trade. In 2015, she was awarded the region’s best apprentices award. Driven by a fascination for innovative ideas, technological advances, entrepreneurship and international business development, she moved to London for master studies in “Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship” at Birkbeck University and graduated with an award as “Best Overall Student in Innovation and Creative Industries”.In 2018, her path led her to Silicon Valley where she contributed to various research projects led by the Triple Helix Institute. After her start in the US with two contractor positions at Google and Apple, she joined Plug And Play in 2019.
